Parents will be back in an hour or two. Which sucks. Still, it's been good, and I've only got another year to go before I'm off to uni on my own. I've learned to cook and clean and all that jazz, and, suprisingly, I haven't really missed them at all. These three weeks have flown by, even though I think I've spent the most time awake I ever have.

Went to gay pride yesterday with... *tries to remember names* Jenny, Freya, Martha, Melissa, Kelly and Chloe? Maybe. We got taken pictures of loaaaads of times. All you guys who didn't are WIMPS. It was great fun.

Today has also been fun. Went rowing - I'm still improving, and I can actually feel it. It's a great sensation. And I've just had a fairly satisfying insult match with Steph. I was finally prepared to say something that I've known about her for almost a year, but have never wanted to bring up. Anyone who is not interested can stop reading now, but I have decided to write it out because she took something rather harsh of mine out of context on her LJ.

So yeah, am I over her? Yes. Am I back to loving life? Fuck yes. Am I going to see Rocky Horror in drag? Why not? Am I playing a gig on the 15th September? Well, if you can trust a 14 yr old drummer...

Life is good.

M'kay, so I've been back for a while now and hadn't got round to posting, but I thought I may as well.

I'm living on my own - another week to go - and it's going well. I could get used to this. Eating when I like is the best thing in the world - I've never much cared for mealtimes. And I've set up my PC with two monitors - it's tres cool.

Filled in my UCAS form the other day (but still have to do the personal statement). Fucking horrible thing. I'd be so much happier with a pen and paper (I never thought I'd say that - ever). Still have to choose a couple more unis - all the ones to choose between have open days coming up though. One I'm planning on going to see is Liverpool, but I need someone to come with me - it's an overnighter, and I wouldn't mind seeing what the nightlife out there was like - plus I thought I might make a weekend of it and stay for the Saturday, as well as the Friday. It's the 30th September, if anyone is interested, and I have a guest place reserved. Let me know.

My band have a new song! It's a follow on from The Chinese Warrior (to anyone who's heard it - yes, the lyrics will be as bad as they were in the last one, but it's going to be longer. And set in Japan.)

On the subject of bands, I'm now part of Vince's acoustic rock project, on drums. He has LOADS of songs, and I've been busy learning them today. I'll post a link on here when we have some demos up on the myspace - it's all quite chilled out and maybe a bit indie, but someone I know might like it.

Oh, and Reading based powermetal anyone? www.myspace.com/sorcerersspell I like them - they're not as annoyingly fast as most powermetal bands, although I get the impression that they could be. And they've covered Power Rangers.

Ummmm I think that's all. Except I might call on a couple of you Lost fans to have a browse over my English coursework when it's done (I need some constructive criticism, and being an episode of Lost...)

Heh, well, that's one problem solved without as much effort as I thought it would require...

Well well. I have bugger all else to do, so I thought I'd revisit this. Here goes:

Exams were ok, going back to school was rubbish. We didn't do much at school though, so that was ok. Won my first rowing race, that was ok also. And I had a reunion with the guys from the flying course, which was very good.

In more recent news, I've been on a climbing course for the past week at Lympstone Commando Training Centre (where all the marines get trained). It was so cool! We got our own little house in Exmouth to ourselves in the evenings, and all the people were really nice. Pretty good ratio of guys to girls, too, including one gay guy. Oh, and I learned to play poker.

I'm going to Wales, next week, which shall be different. I'm not sure what to expect, but I have a funny feeling everyone will be much older than me. Which will be depressing. At least I'll get to show them up, I guess.

Then, it'll be off to Ireland for 10 days - riding and swimming being my main activities, apart from sleeping and generally hanging around in the middle of nowhere.

And then? Then I'll be back for 3 weeks on my own, hopefully. I don't have anything planned, as of yet, but I'm having thoughts of a day or two of (semi) drunkeness. I do mean semi, though - I'm not having my house (or more importantly my drumkit) trashed. Finding a band would also be good.

Anyways, packing calls.

Well well... so, what've I been upto?

Took the day off school today to go to Oxford, which was good, and I now have a dilema about which college to go to. St. Anne's is amaaaazing, but so's Magdelene. Still, I have many more open days to come.

Have been given a gliding scholarship! I'll be flying planes solo! Better watch out...

Ooo Ooo and our third ever gig will be with a band that was in Metal Hammer. 21st people, everyone must come!

Hmm, and anyone that wants to come and see Mendeed (Trivium + more Iron Maiden) with me, in Oxford for JUST £6 on the 25th March, let me know!

Wahey, we have another gig lined up people! Same place as last time, joint/2nd headlining with the Pirates (if they're available). March 11th - be there!

*sighs*

Life sucks. Why did I have to fall in love?

Posted on 2006.02.14 at 09:58
The gig was awesome. We came second, and won £5 each. Woo!

And there was the biggest pit that I've ever seen going on in the back of the hall - even bigger than the pit at Arch Enemy!

Now... when is our next going to be...

Posted on 2006.02.08 at 18:16
Hey guys!

Gig on Saturday! Coronation Hall, Woodley - about 7-7.30 start, we think. Everyone needs to come!

I've had a really shit week... I'm not going to go into it, but if I could have one wish I'd turn everything back to last weekend and start over. That isn't going to happen, so I'd ask everyone that's been hurt or shocked by something that I've said/done to forget it - all of it - or at least forgive me. That's probably not going to happen, either, but I can try *shrugs*
